About Us
One can say that On The Leash was spawned from my lifelong love for animals.
I'm a native New Yorker, having been born and raised in Queens. I grew up with
six cats, a dog, and numerous hamsters. I never could seem to turn away any
stray cats and dogs, much to my parents' dismay.
After graduating from Binghamton University in 1998, I entered the job market,
armed with a psychology degree and no particular career path in mind. I landed
in the magazine publishing field. I worked for two of the most prestigious companies and was advancing in the field, yet seemed to only find myself
passionate about the dog boarding and cat sitting assignments I'd taken on as a
part-time side job. I'd learned to handle all types of dogs, from large breeds
to teacups, and became familiar with administering oral and injectable
medications.
I developed relationships and a steady clientele that relied on me.
The services now provided by On The Leash are the culmination of my years of
experience and the fulfilment of my dream to make a career assisting pets and
their owners!
I've studied dog obedience training with Master Trainer and Canine Patrol Founder of New York City Anthony Jerone, and am currently working towards certification.
